Launched in 2022, Pomily first started in 2020 by Emily Bowring after being inspired by block printing using potatoes. It has since developed into a range of digitally printed fabrics, which are either hand painted or from a carefully carved, painted and stamped potato.

After studying interior design in Florence in 2017, Emily has since worked as an interior designer gaining a broad understanding of fabrics, soft furnishings and interiors. She loves working with pattern and colour, something she believes should be celebrated in the home.

All fabrics are printed in the UK and printed onto a linen & cotton base cloth. Since the designs are created digitally, there is the ability to change the scale and colours should this be required.

ABOUT image
Designed and printed in the UK, all of my designs are printed onto a sustainably sourced linen and cotton blend base cloth (53% linen 47% cotton). It’s of paramount importance that the base cloth only contains natural fibres which are biodegradable. It also means they are a durable fabric which will hopefully last for years to come if looked after carefully. Due to incredible advancements in technology, all of my designs are digitally printed which can use less ink, water and energy than traditional printing methods. All fabrics are printed to order, ensuring there is as little waste as possible and any off-cuts are used for other means where possible. Samples are posted in biodegradable packaging and I am very cautious to try to limit the use of plastic and other environmentally harmful products in all aspects of my business and day-to-day life.
